As a regional business that spans six Southeast Asian markets, Lazada knows that the COVID-19 pandemic is far from over for many across the region. For those on the frontline working as delivery personnel and in other customer-facing roles, the unfolding pandemic and its effects on day-to-day life are even more stark. 

To help care for all Lazada employees and frontliners throughout these tough and extraordinary times, and to show gratitude for the selfless work they do, Lazada has launched Stronger Together with LazadaCARES. 

This initiative has been set-up with immediate effect to ease the load on all Lazada employees and frontliners, and offer help, support and comfort to those most in-need amongst the community. 

Where permitted by local regulations, employees and frontliners in Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand and Indonesia will be given access to vaccinations sponsored by the company. The programme is already well underway in Indonesia and Malaysia. 

In the past few weeks, Lazada has opened vaccination centres in several major provinces in Indonesia to offer free shots to logistics workers, local small-business staff as well as to the general public.

As part of the Selangor Vaccination (SelVAX) initiative, "Lazada Malaysia Vaccination Program" was rolled out to provide Lazada employees and frontliners, including security guards and cleaners, the vaccination that they need. 

As the situation continues to unfold, and the region goes through varying stages of COVID-19 recovery, Lazada is there every step of the way to support local communities in the markets it serves. 

It is clear that the fight against the pandemic is far from over, but by working together and looking out for one another we can, and will, weather this storm.
